Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that can be used for multiple purposes. It can be transformed from a single stroller into double strollers by adding an additional seat (sold separately) or glider board. It can also be set up into a triple travel system by adding the bench seat or an infant car seat. It has 24 different configurations and is a top stroller overall. This model is made with Baby Jogger's soft durable, breathable and sustainably-sourced TENCEL fabrics. They help regulate the temperature. It has an elegant leatherette handlebar and bumper bar and comes with the belly bar. It folds 20% smaller than the market-leading single-to-double stroller, the UPPAbaby Vista V2, and is also lighter.
It comes with a medium-sized shade as well as an open-air window with a magnet, which is easy to open or close. The telescoping handlebars are one of the easiest to adjust and works for parents of all sizes. The seats recline, and there is a footwell adjuster to help you position your child in the most comfortable position. The storage bin is spacious with plenty of room, but we would have liked a more secure latch. It's easy to access, but we found the zippers to be a bit difficult to use since they must be completely undone and refastened for each use.
The City Select, like its siblings, has single-action breaks that are simple to set up and release by pulling a lever located on the frame's side, lower than the handlebar. It is sandal- and barefoot friendly and a step up from the clunky brake levers other brands use.
This is the only stroller in our review that is able to accept two infant car seats which makes it a great option for twins or for parents with one kiddo and a new baby coming soon. It can be used to fit the majority of infant car seats made by major brands by using an adapter. We tested it on Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30 and Graco Click Connect models and also the Cybex Aton, Aton Q and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. The City Select is a great option for families that already have car seats, but want a stroller which can accommodate it. However, you might prefer a convertible stroller for this scenario.
